Abstract

Soil pathogens are one of the main under protected cultivation crops problems in Rio Negro Inferior Valley, one possibility of control is biosolarisation. This work objective is to find solarisation or biosolarisation dates for the Rio Negro River Inferior Valley that allow soil pathogens control and could be adopted by producers. For this purpose, 3 biosolarisation dates were evaluated. Solarisation dates (29/10/2021, 9/11/2021 and 16/12/2021) and one solarisation date (9/11/2021). Temperature was recorded on each date, the effect on Sclerotinia sclerotiorum sclerotia and soil parameters were evaluated. All dates were effective for sclerotia control, however, temperatures on the first date did not reach the values recommended by literature for Fusarium oxysporum wilt tomato control. Most suitable dates for disease control showed a decrease in soil organic matter content.
