Biosolarization: An Alternative that Contributes to Sustainable Production
Compilers: Mariel Mitidieri, Verónica Obregón, Analía Puerta

This book presents the results of various studies on the development and implementation of biosolarization in Argentina, as well as in other countries such as Spain and Cuba.

The book is divided into chapters that cover the general characteristics and background of biosolarization, the necessary inputs, and a step-by-step instructional video for its implementation. It also details the edaphoclimatic characteristics of each production region, the main studies conducted, and includes short videos with testimonials from technicians and producers. Additionally, it provides contact information for regional technical representatives.

This publication is part of a collection promoted by the “Tierra Sana: Alternatives for Soil and Substrate Disinfection” project, and is the result of collaborative work with other INTA projects and universities. The EEA INTA San Pedro has been a pioneer in the development and implementation of biosolarization in Argentina and continues to promote it both nationally and internationally.

Through this book, we aim to contribute to the dissemination of knowledge and encourage further research that enhances production efficiency and improves soil and substrate health.

The book will be available in a ‘preview version’ for download by the symposium participants.
