Dear Participants,
On behalf of the Organising Committee Board we are pleased to inform you about the 8th International Symposium on Biofumigation, Green Manures and Cover Crops that will take place on 21-25 October 2024 in San Pedro, province of Buenos Aires, Argentina. The slogan of this symposium will be “Plants in the service of soil and crops health”.
With great enthusiasm we announce the programmed keynotes that will allow us to update on global trends in techniques which improve soil, crop health and quality through the use of plants and their by-products. We are proud of bringing together a diverse group of professionals interested in crop sustainable management, soil regeneration and circular economy, concepts that involve an interdisciplinary approach to be turned into concrete recommendations for growers.
The academic programme includes three intense days of knowledge exchange and is completed with optional visits to farmers in San Pedro, Zárate, La Plata horticultural belt and Argentina Northwest, a territory with a diversity of climates and soils.
Each author may submit two abstracts in English and Spanish. Abstracts will be received until 31 May 2024 and will be presented as poster or oral presentation according to the decision of the scientific committee. The full paper (in English or Spanish) is optional, it can be sent together with the abstract or later, and if accepted it will be included in a special issue of the journal Revista Horticultura Argentina that will be published at the end of the event. Abstracts should be submitted in English and Spanish. The full paper (optional) may be submitted in English or Spanish, if not submitted by May 31, it may be submitted later.
